The Central
-
4-Star Hotel
The Central’s 15-story hotel will be an Autograph Collection Hotels property.
The hotel is conceived as an urban lifestyle hotel designed to interface with the rest of The Central and become the “living room” of the EDGE District. In addition to a bar and restaurant concept, the hotel is expected to offer meeting and conference rooms, multiple event spaces, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, a multi-level theater, and a rooftop pool.

Halcyon Workspace
Halcyon is a premier Class-A office development underway in St. Petersburg's vibrant EDGE District, designed for businesses seeking a prestigious address with modern amenities and exceptional connectivity. This 11-story building offers flexible office spaces, top-tier technology, and access to a suite of shared amenities, ensuring a refined work environment that supports productivity, creativity, and a balanced lifestyle.
-
Work Force Housing
The Central’s Workforce Housing is a seven-story, 42-unit apartment building. The units will be reserved for residents earning 120% of the area median income (AMI).
The apartments, which are connected to the parking garage, will contribue meaningfully to the critical housing needs for many of St. Petersburg residents.
-
Retail
The Central will offering businesses a new way to retail in the EDGE District. With over 14,000 square feet of ground-level fronting Central Avenue and 1st Avenue North.
A public plaza at the east end of the project has been envisioned as a community gathering space with cafes, shopping and more.
PUBLIC ART
Renowned artist Ya La’ford will create a monument commemorating the Courageous 12—the twelve St. Petersburg police officers who fought to end segregation within the police department in the 1960s. The monument will stand in a public plaza that is part of The Central, which reimagines the site of the former St. Petersburg Police Department.
The heroic monument will feature 12 bronze elements and a large-scale geometric police cover with a shield, signifying the connection of the 12 officers’ path to justice, the obstacles they encountered and their eventual triumph for equality. The 12 bronze busts highlighted at the heart of this tribute replicate each officer proudly wearing their uniforms. The materials tell a story of resilience, unity and remembrance. Bronze was chosen for its ability to capture intricate details to bring a sense of each officer's unique characteristics and personalities, creating a profound connection between viewers and subjects.
The monument’s base will be aluminum and concrete, a material base associated with strength and longevity. It will stand twenty feet tall and include LED lighting with dusk-to-dawn activation.
